What is your cancellation policy?
As long as you give us 48 hours notice, we can change or fully refund your booking. Tours run regardless of weather conditions.

Are your tours designed for children?
Children of all ages can take our food tours. If they are 3 or under and are not participating in the food tastings, there is no cost. If they are aged 4-12, the child ticket price applies (50% off); if they are aged over 13, the adult ticket price applies.

Can I book a private tour for my group?
Yes. We offer private group food tours for groups of up to 10 people, and custom tours for groups of any size. All private tours are priced on application so so please contact us on our private tours page for more information.

Do you accommodate allergies and dietary preferences?
We do our best to accommodate the special dietary needs of our foodie guests, however we can’t guarantee all stops will be able to do so. If you have life-threatening allergies it is not recommended you take our tours.

How much food is served on the tour?
We serve enough food that would equal a good-sized breakfast and lunch. Don’t worry, you won’t be hungry after the tour. And important to arrive with on an empty stomach!

Is there alcohol served during the food tour?
Yes, there are alcoholic drink samples served on the tour. You will have chance to choose between beer, wine or pálinka (Hungarian brandy). Additionally, we always provide water for tour guests.

I don’t drink alcohol. Can I book the tour?
This is not a problem. Just inform our guide before the tour starts. During the tasting you can select another beverage you like!

Are tips included in the price?
Gratuities are not included in your ticket price and they are always greatly appreciated.

Can I bring my dog?
Please leave your furry friends at home. Dogs aren’t allowed in most of the businesses we visit.

If your food tour is sold out, is there a waiting list?
There is no official waiting list. Please notify us by email at fatboytour.budapest@gmail.com and we will let you know what the options are if we are unable to get you on the tour of your choice.

How long do food tours run for?
The duration of our walking food tours is approximately 4 hours, with a 15-minute leeway on either side.

How much walking is involved?
We walk at a leisurely pace to see the beautiful city of Budapest between the tastings. Our tours cover approximately 3,5 km / 2,2 miles walk total. At some locations we will be sitting down, and will be some locations where we will be standing.

Can I shop during the food tour?
Absolutely! We encourage people to purchase items to support our partners. Having said that, the experiences are organized to arrive at each tasting location at a specified time, so your guide will give you warning as to when we are leaving for the next stop and ask you to get your shopping done before the group leaves.

Are bathrooms available during the tour?
Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at almost every location.

Where is the meeting point?
Our tours are in the center of Budapest, but not in touristy area. We will contact you with the exact starting location after your booking.

Where does the food tour finish?
The tour generally finishes within a few blocks of the starting point. We always happy to give directions in the end.

Are cameras allowed on the tour?
We strongly encourage participants to take photos and videos throughout the tour. And please don’t forget to tag us on your photos on Instagram! @fat_boy_foodies_walk_budapest
